Parking is very limited around the Herndon Festival site. Last year many cars were towed and the hope is to minimize that this year. Parking is highly discouraged in the Pines Shopping Center located at the intersection of Monroe Street & Elden Street. The best advice is to use the Shuttle Bus Service – park and ride for FREE. There are two shuttle bus pick-up sites one at Worldgate Shopping Center and one at the Herndon High School.
Please note: No animals, except seeing eye dogs and service animals are allowed in the Festival area.

HERNDON FESTIVAL WINS TWO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS & EVENTS ASSOCIATION (IFEA) 2009 PINNACLE AWARDS
On September 23, 2009, the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) recognized the Herndon Festival at the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Ceremony held at the IFEA’s 53th Annual Convention & Expo, in Indianapolis, Indiana, – September 21-25, 2009. The Herndon Parks and Recreation Department, which produces the Herndon Festival, was presented with two prestigious IFEA Pinnacle Awards. Awards were won in the following categories for events with budgets ranging from $250,000 to $749,999.
